Free SEO check
A free SEO check, done on this site, by the person who would do the work
The free SEO check is a written email within one working day: how many of your pages Google has indexed, how fast the site is on a phone, which searches already show you at positions 5 to 20, what the three competitors above you do that you do not, and whether the right next step is SEO, Google Ads or neither yet. It comes with a quote from the public price list, from £399 a month, and a personal confirmation that your town and sector are still free. If you want a number in the next sixty seconds instead, the instant score further down this page grades the site A to F with no email address asked for.
What happens after you send it
- 1. Daniel Stoychev opens the site, crawls it, reads Search Console if you have shared it, and looks at the profile and the three sites above you.
- 2. The findings and the quote arrive by email, usually the same day, with your town and sector confirmed free or taken.
- 3. Nothing else, unless you reply. No call, no follow-up sequence, no mailing list.
Send the site
Name a competitor or two if you want the comparison to be the one that matters to you.
What it covers
Six things we look at before we quote
Each one is a check anyone could repeat with the same tools. We write down what we found and what we would do about it, in the order the findings matter.
- Indexing
- Search Console's Pages report against the sitemap, or a crawl if there is no access: which pages Google has, which it dropped, and the likely reason.
- Speed on a phone
- PageSpeed Insights on the home page and the busiest service page, with the one or two fixes that would move the score most.
- Titles and descriptions
- Which pages are shown in results but not clicked, and what the title says that stops the click.
- The searches you already sit close to
- Queries at positions 5 to 20 in the last three months, where a rewrite is the cheapest ranking gain on the site.
- The Google Business Profile
- Category, services, hours and reviews against the three businesses in the map pack for your money search.
- The three competitors above you
- What their pages carry that yours do not: the specifics, the questions answered, the evidence of real work.
The upgrade
The full written audit: £150, ten areas, 5 working days
The free check tells you where the site stands and what it would cost to fix. The full audit is the diagnosis on its own, for a business that wants the whole picture before it decides anything: every check on the SEO audit page, your Search Console queries read one by one, the profile field by field, the three competitors page by page, structured data validated, an AI-readiness check, and a prioritised list of what to fix this month, what to build next and what to leave alone.
It is written for the owner, with a technical appendix for whoever does the fixes, and it carries no obligation. If you go ahead with a retainer within 60 days, the £150 comes off the first month, so the audit costs nothing to a business that continues and £150 to one that does not.
Who we decline
The check is free; taking every business is not the point of it
One business per town and sector on the Local tier. If a plumber in your town is already a client, the reply says so in its first line and suggests what would still work, which is usually a neighbouring town or a service the existing client does not offer. The first to start keeps the place.
We do not take gambling, adult or payday-lending sites. We do not take a site that cannot be edited, until it is replaced; the check says whether yours is one of the roughly one in five that cannot rank as built. And we do not take a business whose owner cannot give fifteen minutes a month, because every page we write comes from that conversation and a page written from guesswork does not rank.
None of that stops you sending the site. The check is still written, and it still says what we would do if we were you.
The instant score
A grade in about a minute, no email, in a new tab
Quence is the audit tool we built and run. Type the address and it reads the site live: speed on a phone, whether the main pages are indexed, titles and descriptions, structured data, security headers and the basics of accessibility, graded A to F. It cannot see Search Console, so it does not know your queries; the written check above does. Use it for a number now, and send the form for the reasons behind it.
Score it now
The result opens on quence.xyz, our tool, in a new tab. Nothing is stored here and nobody calls you.
After the check
What the reply leads to, if anything
Most replies recommend one of three things. A retainer on the tier that fits the number of areas or product lines, with the first month set out on the how it works page. The full audit first, where the site is large or the history is messy. Or a plain statement that SEO is not the right spend this quarter, with the reason, which is the reply the results page exists to make believable.
Questions about the free check
Is the free check really free, or is it a sales call?
It is free and it is an email. You get the written findings and the quote from the price list within one working day, and nobody phones you unless you ask for a call on the form. About one in five free checks ends with advice not to buy SEO yet, which is not what a sales call does.
What do you need from us?
The website address and your town and sector. Optionally one or two competitors you want compared, and read-only access to Search Console if you have it, because the query and indexing data live there. Without access the check works from a crawl and public tools and says which findings that limits.
How is this different from the £150 audit?
Depth and form. The free check covers what we need to price the work: indexing, speed, the profile, the three competitors above you and a summary. The £150 audit is the full written document across ten areas, query by query and page by page, with a prioritised fix list you could hand to any developer. It is credited against month one if you go ahead within 60 days.
Will you decline some businesses?
Yes, and the reply says so in the first line. One business per town and sector on the Local tier, so if yours is taken we say what would still work. We do not take gambling, adult or payday-lending sites, and we do not take a site whose owner cannot spare fifteen minutes a month, because the pages come from that conversation.
Where does the instant score come from?
From Quence, our own audit tool. It reads the site live: speed on a phone, whether the main pages are indexed, titles and descriptions, structured data, security headers and the basics of accessibility, and grades it A to F on the screen. It does not read Search Console, so it cannot see your queries. The written check can.
Does the free check tell us to buy SEO?
It tells you what is wrong and in what order. Where the honest answer is that the profile is the problem and the site is fine, or that the searches you want do not exist, or that ads are the right answer for the next three months, it says that instead. The guide on SEO against Google Ads explains how we make that call.
Send the address, get the findings and the price
One email within one working day, written for you rather than exported from a tool, with the quote from the public price list and your town and sector confirmed. The form is at the top of this page, and the quote page carries the same one.
