Service
SEO services for UK businesses, set out week by week
Our SEO service is a monthly retainer from £399 a month, 3-month minimum, for one business per town and sector on the Local tier. A month contains four things in a fixed order: technical care, one piece of work from your own Search Console query data, mentions on sites that matter in your sector, and a two-page report written by the person who did the work. This page lists what happens in each week, what you receive, and what we will not do for any fee.

A month on the retainer
What happens in each week
The order is deliberate. Technical problems are checked first because a page nobody can index cannot rank whatever is written on it; the report is last because it needs the month's data. In month one the first week is longer, because that is when the audit's fixes are made.
Week 1
Technical check and fixes
Search Console's Pages report against the sitemap: anything dropped, anything new that failed to index, any spike in 404s or redirects. PageSpeed on the home page and the busiest service page. Titles and descriptions for pages shown but not clicked last month. Fixes go live the same week; anything structural is proposed in writing.
Week 2
One piece of work from the data
The query report shows what you already appear for at positions 5 to 20. That is the cheapest ranking gain on the site, so the month's page is chosen from it: a service page rewritten to answer the search properly, or a new page for a query no page owns. Written after a call with you, checked by you, published with your photographs.
Week 3
Mentions and the profile
Two or three mentions a month on sites Google already trusts in your sector: the trade body, the supplier's stockist list, the directory people actually use, the local press when there is a story. The Google Business Profile is checked for new predefined services, hours drift and unanswered reviews.
Week 4
The report
Two pages. Clicks, impressions and position for the searches we are working on, from Search Console. What changed this month and what it did. The two or three numbers that look odd, explained. What we refused to touch and why. Next month's piece of work, named. Sent by email, no meeting required.
What you receive
The deliverables, with when and in what form
| Deliverable | When | Form |
|---|---|---|
| Written audit | Before you pay anything | Email, two to four pages, with a quote from the price list |
| Technical fixes | Month 1, then checked every month | Changes on the live site, listed in the report |
| Google Business Profile | Month 1 build, then maintained | The profile itself; a one-page note on what never to touch |
| Page rewritten or built | One a month on Local and Growth, two on Multi-area | Live on your site, with your photographs, after you have checked it |
| Mentions | From month 2 | A list in the report with the URL of each |
| Search Console access | Week 1 | The property shared with your Google account |
| Monthly report | Within five working days of month end | Email, two pages, plain English, no PDF of graphs |
| Month-six judgement | Month 6 | A written answer to whether it is working, and what we would change |
What we will not do for any fee
The four shortcuts, and what each has cost businesses we have cleaned up after
Bought links.A package of two hundred links from sites nobody reads is a link scheme under Google's spam policies. It is detectable, it is the most common reason a site's rankings collapse in one week, and disavowing it afterwards is months of work that produces nothing new.
Town pages on a template.Twenty pages that say the same thing with the place name swapped are doorway pages by Google's definition. On a new domain they get the whole site filtered, not just the copies. We build a page for a town when there is evidence you work there, and not before.
Bought or gated reviews. Both break Google's policies; gating (asking only happy customers) also breaks the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations. We give you the routine and the wording, and the reviews are yours.
Rewriting a page that is working. A page with clicks, or a top-ten position, is not touched because a checklist says it should be. Protecting what earns is half the job and it is the half most agencies skip, because a rewrite looks like work and a decision not to rewrite does not.
Who the retainer suits
Businesses that can act on what the data says
The service works for a business that already does the thing it wants to rank for and can tell us about it for fifteen minutes a month: what the job involves, what changes the price, what customers ask before they buy. That conversation is where the pages come from. A business that cannot spare the fifteen minutes gets pages written from guesswork, and those do not rank.
It suits a site with somewhere to grow: a service you offer and have no page for, a second town you genuinely serve, a product line buried three clicks deep. It suits a business that will send photographs and ask customers for reviews when we give it the wording.
It does not suit a business that needs enquiries this month; that is a Google Ads conversation, and we say so in the audit rather than take three months of retainer for a problem SEO cannot solve on that timescale. It does not suit a business whose site cannot be edited, until the site is replaced.

Questions about the SEO service
Is the work done by you or subcontracted?
By us. Daniel Stoychev builds, writes and reads the data on every account. Where a client wants photography or a Welsh translation, we name the person we recommend and they invoice you directly; nothing on the retainer is passed to a content farm.
How many hours a month is the retainer?
The retainer buys outcomes, not hours, but the honest range is eight to twelve hours a month on Local, more in month one. The first month is heavier because the technical fixes and the profile happen then. We do not bill extra for a heavy month or refund a light one.
Do you work with businesses in the same sector in different towns?
Yes, and with one business per town and sector on the Local tier: two clients competing for the same map pack is a conflict we would have to hide from one of them. The town and sector are confirmed personally in the reply to the quote form.
What if our website is on Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?
We work with what you have if it can be made to rank: pages can be added, titles can be set, images can be compressed. About one site in five cannot, usually because the builder locks the things that matter, and the audit says so before you commit. A rebuild is quoted separately from £599.
Can you guarantee a position?
No, and the guarantee itself is the warning sign. Google's ranking is not something any company controls. We guarantee the work listed on this page, shared access to Search Console so you can check it, and a written judgement at month six.
What do we need to give you?
Access to Search Console, Analytics and the Google Business Profile (we set them up if they do not exist), fifteen minutes on the phone about the work you want more of, and photographs of your business and your work. Photos are the one thing only you can provide, and they move both rankings and enquiries.
