Industries
SEO by industry: the same method, a different first move for each
We do SEO for small and mid-sized UK businesses in six kinds of market, and each has its own page because the first month is different in each. A trade needs the map pack before anything else. A solicitor needs the people pages and the regulated price information. A manufacturer needs a page per product line and a specification search answered. A shop needs its catalogue indexed. The method underneath, set out on the how it works page, is the same everywhere, and so is the price, from £399 a month on the pricing page.
Trades
Plumbers, roofers, electricians, garages, landscapers, cleaners. The map pack for the call-out and the pages for the big job.

Professional services
Solicitors, accountants, architects, consultants. People pages, the regulated claims, and reviews that follow the SRA and the CMA.
Clients who research before they call, and hire a person rather than a firm

B2B and manufacturing
Specification searches, product lines with their own pages, and being the source an AI assistant names for the comparison.
Buyers at desks, long decisions, low volume and high value

Online shops
Category and product pages, feeds and merchant listings, and the indexing problems that hide a third of a catalogue from Google.
People searching for a specific product, ready to buy

Local services of every kind
Cafés, clinics, salons, studios, venues: the profile, the map pack, the review routine, one town or several.

Why the pages differ
Which part of the results page your customers use
A Google results page has five parts, and each industry lives in a different one. Trades and local services are decided by the map. Professional services and B2B are decided by the organic results and, increasingly, by whether an AI assistant names the business when asked for a comparison. Shops are decided by product results and the Shopping tab. The industry page for your business says which part matters, which is why the first month's work is different for each.
What does not change is the evidence rule: real accounts with their caveats on the results page, one business per town and sector on the Local tier, and the refusal list on the services page.
Not on the list
If your industry is not here
Send the site anyway. The six pages cover the kinds of market, not every trade within them; a dog groomer is a local service, a software firm is B2B, a furniture maker is a shop with a workshop. The free check reads your Search Console data and says which page applies and what the first month would contain. We do not take gambling, adult or payday-lending sites.
Find out what an SEO company would fix first on your site
Send your website address and your sector. Within one working day you get a written audit from Search Console and PageSpeed data, the three competitors above you, and a quote from the public price list. No sales call unless you ask for one.
